For the analysis of particle size distributions, we offer various sieve shakers for a wide range of tasks. Our range of applications for sieve analysis extends from finely sieved pharmaceutical products to coarse material from mines, smelters, quarries and the recycling sector. We also offer machines for analytical sieving of electrostatically charged (e.g. plastic), moist (e.g. gravel), fragile, plate-like and porous materials.

Air Jet Sieve
The SLS Air Jet Sieve is used to classify products that are difficult to screen, particularly in the particle size range below 250 µm

Sieve Shaker ASM
Our ASM sieve shakers are throw-action sieve shakers used for automatic sieving of all sievable bulk materials into individual grain fractions, for reproducible determination of grain size distributions.

Test Sieve Shaker LAVIB
The LAVIB 300 test sieve shaker is used primarily for classifying fibrous and plate-like bulk materials, such as those found in the wood, spice, tobacco and plastics industries, as well as in painting and brewing.

Large Sample Sieve Shaker GAS
The large sample sieve shakers are designed for applications where particle sizes greater than 40 mm must be determined with full reliability, for sample quantities exceeding 15 kg.

Frequently Asked Questions

The SLS is an air jet sieve for fine sieving down to 20 µm. The ASM are throw-action sieve shakers with electromagnetic or unbalance drive for all-round grain size analysis. The LAVIB is a horizontal sieve shaker particularly suited to fibrous and plate-like materials. The GAS are large sample sieve shakers for coarse particle sizes above 40 mm and large sample quantities.

The ASM 200 and ASM 400 throw-action sieve shakers support both wet and dry sieving. Wet sieving requires a lid with a nozzle and a collection pan with a drain. The SLS air jet sieve and the LAVIB are designed for dry sieving.

The sieve shakers are developed for grain size analysis in accordance with international standards such as DIN, ISO and ASTM. The results are reproducible and comply with applicable industry standards.

Yes. With optional air preheating, the SLS can be used for hygroscopic materials by heating the intake air. An optional ionisation unit reduces agglomeration caused by electrostatic charging, which is particularly useful when sieving plastics.

All the sieve shakers are operated via an innovative app (LabCo) that enables storage of SOPs, display of grain size distributions, connection to analytical balances, data export in CSV format, and direct spare part requests.
