Rotanta 460 (without cooling) for standard applications and Rotanta 460R (with cooling) for temperature-sensitive processes. The cooling version has a temperature range from -20°C to +40°C with pre-cooling function.

The main difference is that Rotanta 460R has an integrated cooling system that allows the chamber temperature to be adjusted from -20°C to +40°C with a pre-cooling function. This is essential for temperature-sensitive samples such as biological specimens, enzymes, cell cultures and other materials where heat generation during centrifugation can affect sample integrity. The 460R is also larger (770 × 706 × 456 mm vs. 554 × 706 × 456 mm) and heavier (approx. 141 kg vs. 101 kg) due to the cooling unit.
