Memmert UF/UN universal ovens are built for thermal processes where precise, uniform temperature distribution is critical. Typical applications include:

The ovens come in two circulation versions: UN (natural convection) for gentle handling of sensitive loads, and UF (forced air circulation) for faster, more homogeneous temperature distribution — including the largest model, UF1060.

SingleDISPLAY and TwinDISPLAY
SingleDISPLAY gives simple, intuitive operation for everyday use. TwinDISPLAY (TFT colour touchscreen) adds multi-segment programming, data logging, USB connectivity and AtmoCONTROL software compatibility.

Natural and forced convection
The UN range (natural convection) suits sensitive samples that cannot tolerate airflow. The UF range (fan-assisted forced air) gives faster heat-up and more homogeneous distribution — the preferred choice in industry and quality control.

Pre-heated fresh air
An electronically adjustable air flap admits pre-heated fresh air — critical where humidity or gas composition inside the chamber must be controlled.

Stainless steel throughout
Interior chamber in stainless steel (1.4301 / ASTM 304) with deep-drawn ribs integrating the large-area heating. Easy to clean and highly durable.

Extensive options and accessories
Glass door, entry ports, interior lighting, lockable door, MobileALERT, FDA-compliant software and much more — the oven can be adapted to almost any application.

What is the difference between UN (natural convection) and UF (forced air circulation)?

The UN model relies on natural heat rise without a fan — ideal for sensitive loads that cannot tolerate airflow, such as loose powders, lightweight material or delicate biological samples. The UF model uses a fan to circulate air actively, giving faster heat-up and more homogeneous temperature distribution — the preferred choice in industry, quality control and where the chamber is heavily loaded.

What is the difference between SingleDISPLAY and TwinDISPLAY (plus models)?

SingleDISPLAY offers straightforward operation with manual temperature and time settings. TwinDISPLAY (plus models) adds a TFT colour touchscreen, multi-segment programming, USB connectivity, integrated data logging and full compatibility with AtmoCONTROL software for documentation and remote control.

Can the ovens be used for sterilisation?

Yes. Memmert UF/UN ovens can be used for dry heat sterilisation of glassware and metal instruments at temperatures above +160 °C. For demanding sterilisation requirements, we recommend documenting the process using the calibration and validation options (IQ/OQ/PQ) available from Memmert.

What connection options are available for cables and instruments?

The ovens can be supplied with entry ports in various diameters (14, 23, 38, 57 and 100 mm) and positions — left, right and rear wall. This makes them well suited to monitoring loads with external sensors or connecting instruments inside the chamber.

Is the AtmoCONTROL software FDA-compliant?

Yes. AtmoCONTROL is available in an FDA-compliant version meeting the requirements of 21 CFR Part 11 for electronically stored records and electronic signatures. Corresponding IQ/OQ documents are available in German and English. TwinDISPLAY models only.
